This sermon works through Philippians 1: 27-28. It explains the mechanics of living by God’s power to reflect a community of Heaven on earth. It explores the importance of Christians walking in oneness which will result in reflecting community of Heaven on earth.

The sermon is based on information from the book The Heart of Man and The Mental Disorders by Rich Thomson. It explores the passages of Proverbs 27:5-6 where four kinds of human relationships are discussed. These four kinds of relationships are Open and Unloving, Closed and Loving, Open and Loving, and Closed and Unloving. In October 2005 at a NANC Annual Conference, I heard a sermon by Steve Viars called “Why do We Need People?” It captivated me so that I adapted his idea into this sermon. The sermon works through the Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 and gives reason as to why we need people. It also explains why we do not need people and why God created people. The sermon became part of a workbook I developed called Understanding and Developing a Christ Centered Life and Christ Centered Relationships.
Understanding and Developing Christ Centered Relationships: Created For God’s Glory Dr. Nicolas Ellen
The sermon works through the Colossians 1:15-17. It explores the importance of understanding that we are created for God’s glory. As a result our relationships should reflect that glory. It builds on ideas I have read from John Piper and ideas I have gained from reading Jim Berg.
